1) Scan your computer for Spyware
As we download or browse the net, there must be spyware and adware coming onto the computer. 2) Check your PC for viruses
In my daily life, I have seen that lots of computers are greatly running slow due to lack of anti-virus program. Once a computer is infected by viruses, it can not escape to be a slow computer. So an anti-virus program (or good anti-virus program) is needed in order to fix a slow computer.

3) Clear up Windows registry
There must be some registry entries generated or left over after browsing the website or uninstalling programs from the computer. So we can say that Windows registry happens every time we use the computer. The more useless registry entries on the computer, the slower it will be. So a regular cleanup of the Windows registry is needed.

4) Use a disk defragmenter
When there are too many fragments on the computer, longer time will be consumed when trying to input or output a specific file. If the file is needed frequently, the computer will become completely slow. So a disk defragmentation is also needed in order to put all parts of the same content in a single place. The packaged Disk Defragmenter is located at All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tool, which brought quick result in speeding up my computer.

5) Delete unnecessary files and programs
It is highly recommended that you should delete the unnecessary files and programs this is because by freeing up the hard disk space, you will get an increase in computer speed. But please note that when uninstalling programs, it is not allowed to directly delete their folders under C drive. You should go to Start -> All Programs -> Control Panel -> Add / Remove Programs to thoroughly uninstall the program both from the files and the Windows registry.

With the above five steps, rather easy steps, I was able to increase my computer speed.
